Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 July 2026
These terms cover how you may use VLSI Mentor — an educational platform for VLSI and semiconductor engineering. We've kept them readable and conservative, and honest about what the Service does and doesn't offer today.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using vlsimentor.com (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Educational purpose
VLSI Mentor provides educational content and learning resources for VLSI and semiconductor engineering — tutorials, articles, and related materials. The Service is intended for learning and reference. It is not a substitute for professional engineering judgement (see our Disclaimer).
3. Account responsibilities
If you create an account, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity that occurs under your account. Authentication is handled by our provider, Clerk; keep your sign-in credentials secure and let us know of any unauthorised use.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our content at scale without permission;
- attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- submit unlawful, abusive, misleading, or spam content through our forms;
- misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
5. Intellectual property
The content on VLSI Mentor — including tutorials, articles, diagrams, and the site design — is owned by VLSI Mentor or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use it for your own personal learning. You may not reproduce or distribute it for commercial purposes without our written permission. Code examples may be used as described in the Disclaimer.
6. Messages and enquiries you submit
When you send us a contact message or a course enquiry, you confirm the information is accurate and that you are entitled to share it. We use these submissions to respond to you and to operate the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through these forms.
7. Technical accuracy
We put real effort into the technical accuracy of our content, but engineering is nuanced and tools, standards, and vendor behaviour differ and change over time. Content is provided on an “as is” basis for learning, and you should verify anything critical against authoritative sources and your own tools. See the Disclaimer for details.
8. No guarantee of outcomes
VLSI Mentor does not guarantee any particular outcome from using the Service — including employment, placement, interview success, certification, or the correctness of any silicon, RTL, or design result. Interview and career materials are educational and do not guarantee results.
9. Third-party services and external links
The Service relies on third-party providers (such as Clerk, Supabase, Resend, Vercel, and Google Analytics) and may link to external websites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or availability of third-party sites and services.
10. Paid services
VLSI Mentor does not currently process payments through the website. Any future paid service will present its pricing, cancellation, and refund terms before purchase. Submitting a course enquiry does not create a payment obligation.
11. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable at times for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.
12. Changes to content and services
We may add, change, or remove content and features at any time as the platform evolves. We may also update these terms; when we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VLSI Mentor is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its content. The Service and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.
14. Indemnity
You agree to be responsible for your own use of the Service, and to hold VLSI Mentor harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service — including an account — if these terms are violated or to protect the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service at any time.
16. Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of India. A specific jurisdiction and venue will be published before paid services are launched.
